Current Projects:

Windbrook Street has been completed, and the Maintenance crew is now digging out Redbud Street and putting in new road base to get ready for asphalt. New sidewalk and curb has been poured on Redbud Street from Windbrook to Spring Street. There is still sidewalk to pour from Spring to Sanford Lane.

There are two crews working at the Community Center; one is working on the splash pad area at the back of the building, the second crew is working on the parking lots and pouring curb.

The Maintenance crew is crack sealing, sign maintenance and general street maintenance. A new traffic light cabinet has recently been received and will replace the damaged cabinet at Cardinal and 62.

CITY OF MOUNTAIN HOME REMINDERS:

  1. Ordinance Number 93-021, Section 1 of the City of Mountain Home Code states residents of the City of Mountain Home are prohibited from depositing or placing leaves, grass, debris or any other article on the city's streets or on drainage right-of-ways. Residents are prohibited from burning leaves, grass, debris or any other article on the city's streets or in ditches which are a part of the city's drainage system.

    THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WILL ISSUE CITATIONS FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CHOOSE TO BLOW GRASS CLIPPINGS AND LEAVES INTO THE STREET AND DRAINAGE DITCHES THROUGHOUT THE CITY.

  2. Ordinance Number 89-002, of the City of Mountain Home Code states REDUCING SPEED LIMIT TO 15 MPH ON STREETS UNDER CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN HOME.

  3. Ordinance Number 89-033, of the City of Mountain Home Code establishes a 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON NON-POSTED STREETS.
