Citizens Police Academy

The Mountain Home Police Department Citizens Police Academy is designed to give community members an inside look at modern law enforcement and the day-to-day operations of our department.
Through hands-on demonstrations, presentations, and discussions with officers and staff, participants gain a better understanding of policing, public safety, and the challenges officers face while serving the community.
The academy helps strengthen communication, transparency, and relationships between the police department and the citizens we serve.
Topics May Include:
- Patrol operations
- Criminal investigations
- Traffic enforcement
- K-9 and SWAT demonstrations
- Use-of-force simulations
- Dispatch and communications
- Technology and equipment demonstrations
- Community policing strategies
- Ride-along opportunities
